Zuni Hand Carved Jet Macaw or Parrot Fetish by Poblito with Pipestone Base

The parrot or macaw figures prominently in Zuni mythology but is not as commonly carved as some of the other animals featured here. This lovely jet macaw has been meticulously carved from jet by Elroy Poblito and features a turquoise offering bundle. Measures approximately 3-1/8" x 1" and has been signed by the artist.

Pipestone base is made by Elements of Rejuvenation using authentic pipestone mined by an Oglalla Lakota gentleman, from his registered pit at Pipestone National Monument.
