Thunder Eggs

Thunder Eggs are agate encased in a hard, compact matrix. Sometimes opal is present within the agate; sometimes not. In mythology, Thunder Eggs were said to be hurled to Earth by gods who were angry with human societies. In Scandinavian mythology, these stones are connected with Thor the thunder god. When used in meditation and ritual they can help decrease anger and hostility---it is said they help to "listen with intention and act with intensity."
