In a strict geological sense, kunzite refers only to the pink-to-purple form of the lithium aluminum silicate spodumene. The name is commonly expanded to refer to all other colors of spodumene, which can be green, yellow, gray, or colorless. Rare specimens may be multi-colored, or have rutile inclusions. Here is a stone which is a powerful conveyor of unconditional love, making it an excellent companion for one who wishes to better express what they hold in their heart. Kunzite helps dissolve the emotional blockages of the heart, clearing the way for one to develop the ability to trust, and to receive. Holding this stone vertically is said to align the chakras, and to sequentially connect them. This is said to be quite stimulating!

Lepidolite is a potassium lithium aluminum silicate which is often found in close association with other lithium-bearing minerals. It occurs in a wide range of colors, but the lavendar-to-purple vaiety is perhaps the most common in the metaphysical community. Highly effective for calming frayed nerves and reducing despondency, lepidolite suggests that one "stop to smell the flowers." Many people enjoy soaking in a warm bath which features one or two lepidolite stones, and report that this is deeply relaxing. Lepidolite is also said to be supportive of business pursuits, as it helps one combine focus and direction with diplomacy.
