Intarsia is a centuries-old technique in which one stone is inlaid into another stone to create jewelry or portraits. This piece measures 50mm x 60mm, the central dome is fossil stromalite placed into wood picture jasper. Intarsia represents the highest lapidary skill, and the detail in this piece is amazing.
