Freshwater Pearls

While saltwater pearls are grown in oysters, Freshwater Pearls are grown in different varieties of mussell. A striking range of colors and sizes are available in a natural freshwater pearl, owing to the control of the following factors: genetics of the host mussell, food supply, and substances present in the water.
